Our approach
Together with young people, we create impactful team building games, in a homely atmosphere, without stress.
- By developing games, they get the chance to develop skills.
- We offer extra personal guidance and coaching, so that young people get to know their qualities and gain more self-confidence.
- We stimulate a sense of community in which young people look out for each other, which contributes to less loneliness and healthier mental health.
All this offers young people more perspective for a next step in their lives.
From playing games all day to making games
Breakout Bandits offers a solution for young people who are stuck in society by offering them a creative and challenging (reintegration) workplace where they can develop at their own pace. By developing team building games, they get the chance to develop skills that contribute to their personal growth and reintegration into society.
Working in a homely atmosphere with a lot of personal attention
Our approach focuses on providing a stress-free, homely environment with lots of personal attention. It’s like working from the kitchen table with a friendly group of like-minded people. It’s fine for everyone to participate according to their own capabilities. We work in a structured manner and provide substantive guidance to the young people in devising and creating the games.
In addition to substantive coaching, we offer personal coaching based on the vision of relational youth work, with the aim of giving young people more self-confidence.
Looking after each other
We see a lot of loneliness and mental problems among young people. In addition to our personal attention, we also encourage young people to look after each other. In this way, we work on a sense of community and build a network of young people who positively influence each other and are mentally healthier.

Wouter and Esther showed me that I am valuable and that I really have something to offer, despite my distance to the labor market. This gave me the courage to apply for a position for 9 hours a week, and that was successful.
Target group
We focus on young people and young adults from 18 to 35 years old.
