Our coaching
We distinguish 3 types of coaching:
1. Substantive coaching: young people learn new skills
2. Personal coaching: young people gain more confidence and self-insight.
3. Looking after each other: young people are less lonely and mentally healthier.
Substantive coaching: new skills
We provide substantive coaching to young people to develop new skills. We distinguish 2 sub-target groups with different substantive coaching.
Creative Dropouts
We offer creative dropouts a 10-month paid employment contract within our game creation process. We tailor the process to not only lead to the creation of a commercially valuable product, but also to provide ample opportunity for participants to learn new skills.
While working, we guide the young people to explore what the best next step is for them, so that they can take that step after the project.
Young Professionals
We offer young professionals who have reached a dead end a reintegration position with tailor-made guidance from a professional in sales, marketing, support, IT or office management. The work is therapeutic, but has a challenge according to their ability.
We select our employees based on their professional competence and social skills. They guide 1 or 2 young people in a relaxed, personal way and introduce them to the field. The young people carry out assignments according to their ability and learn new skills as a result.
The duration and number of hours per day are agreed with the participant and possibly the trajectory supervisor from the UWV or the employer. After this period, the participant has various options: enter a job at Breakout Bandits or another company, follow a training course, start their own business, as long as it is a next step in their life.
Personal coaching: more confidence and self-insight
We build a relationship with young people by doing things together (making new games and playing our own team building game), drinking coffee, having lunch together, going for a walk and, above all, offering a listening ear. We name the qualities that we see during this process and encourage young people to grow further in this. This way, they get to know their qualities and gain more self-confidence.
In our relational youth work, we maintain a professional distance, but at the same time we also share a lot of our own lives. We make ourselves vulnerable and show that our pain has become our strength. In this way, we create an open and safe atmosphere: young people feel free to discuss their challenges. We do not offer specialist care. This can of course be provided in parallel with a trajectory at Breakout Bandits
Young people look after each other: less loneliness and mentally healthier
We use our own team building games to kickstart community building. We have lunch together and take the time to walk together. Together with working in a homely atmosphere, working together on a project and personal guidance, this will stimulate a group feeling that has a positive effect on the mental health of the young people.
Experience
We have extensive experience in coaching young people.
