Our target group
Breakout Bandits focuses on young people and young adults from 18 to 35 years old from Lansingerland (and the wider region Rijnmond and Haaglanden) with a creative mindset who got stuck in society. We focus on young people with an MBO, HBO, WO education level.
Stuck is a broad concept. Within the large group of young people who got stuck in all kinds of ways, we focus specifically on 2 target groups:
- Creative young professionals
- Creative drop-outs
Intrinsic motivation
For both target groups, if they are being treated by a healthcare provider, they have sufficient capacity to combine this with a job at Breakout Bandits. Young people must apply themselves to come and work with us. When applying, we mainly look at the intrinsic motivation to take the next step.
We have the ambition to guide 12 young people per year in 2025. This will grow to 23 young people per year in 2029.
Creative Drop-outs
This target group is unemployed at home. They did not finish school, or if they did, they are unable to find work. Think of young people with autism, who cannot find their way at school or in working life. They are looking for a job with an employer where they can gain work experience (possibly without a diploma) and build self-confidence to grow further in a career that suits them.
Creative Young Professionals
This target group has a few years of work experience and has dropped out afterwards. (For example: burn-out or long covid). They are looking for a reintegration place where they can reintegrate. The goal is that they return to their old employer after a few months or find a new job.
Target group speaks
Young people we have coached indicate that they have learned new skills, that their self-confidence has grown and that they feel better about themselves. Working at Breakout Bandits gave them more perspective to take a new step in their lives.
Coaching
We distinguish 3 types of coaching: substantive coaching, personal coaching and young people who look after each other.
